LOVE WALES MISSION
The Sunflower Trust committed the whole Month of August to "LOVE WALES" tent missions.
Love Wales is headed up by Marolyn Harris from Shine Swansea. For North Wales, the leader is the Rev Carol Burstow, who has done these Missions for 4 years running.
We started in Llanfairfechan, under the revival Mountain. Thank God for the wonderful weather that allowed the tents to go up without wind problems. It was a glorious sunny day, on the main day Saturday, when the local Churches came together and helped put the barbecue on, and the meetings. Many Mums and Dads came with their children and heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We had puppet shows , portraying stories from The Bible, and one man came all the way from Russia with his monkey puppet to share the Good-news of JESUS.
We moved on the following week to Conwy, where he Church of Wales and The Anglican Church, came together to do their first Missionary out reach in their area. Each Mission lasted 5 days, in all of the towns we visited. The tent was pitched in a beautiful spot, right under the Castle of Conwy.
In Morowelyn, Holyhead, we visited the local Church, where we had the tent meetings. Michael came from London once again, to coach football with the children off the council estate. It was a real winner, as Michael coached the boys and witnessed about Jesus. Thanks to all the people who turned up to help out. A food bank was set up, and the arts and crafts stalls, went down wonderfully well with everyone. Many people gave their lives to Jesus.
In Gwalchmai, we went back there after two years,on the invitation of the locals. It was a wonderful week, as we shared Bible Stories, and The Gospels to the parents and children alike. So many people made a commitment to Jesus, that they have requested the Pastors from Beaumaris to start a Bible Club in the village, even providing a place for them all to meet.
This is bringing in the ripe fruit for The Lord. This is serving and working for Christ. When we move, God moves with us, going before us, preparing the hearts of the people for His Salvation.
Well Done to the Labourers in the harvest Field
God Bless Wales
